I support the petition but also feel that besides being way over do, doesn’t go far enough!  I still remember in the 90’s catching and tagging Black Drum when the menhaden fleet almost surrounded us. They circled the menhaden school, vacuumed the large menhaden as well as black drum. We had a clear view of the hopper. We were in  30’ water and the nets cleaned the bottom. Lots of activity on the color machine and none when they left!  Haven’t seen menhaden 1/2 that size in 20 years.
