Common sense regulation of the commercial menhaden fishing industry is needed now!  These bait fish are the backbone of our coastal marine ecology.  If we continue to allow this commercial exploitation of Virginia's natural resources we are facing more local species population collapses.  It does not take a forensic economic analyst to figure out that the lost of our local and tourist recreational fishing would be a fiscal and political disaster.  Please consider this compared to what the "fish oil" PAC lobbyists are willing to donate.
