Children deserve the best home, with the love and attention

Families have changed whether they be blended families, homosexual families or so on.  The best for a child is the place that shows them the most love and attention.  In response to this I think of my own situation.  I am young widow who lives with her boyfriend.  If I get remarried I lose all my military benefits.  I love my boyfriend, I love his children and we would like custody, yet Virginia is stuck in a place that believes the mother is the best for the child to be.  Not in all cases!  These children are left with a babysitter every night while she works, yet we could take them.  Many nights they have to fend for a dinner of their own at only the ages of 7.9 and 11.  We could give them a family dinner, help with homework and the attention they need at night.  We are denied, because she is the mother and we are not married. Virginia needs to rethink what is best for the child, the old beliefs do not benefit the children.
