Opposed to Proposed change in VA Adoption Law

I am opposed to the proposed changes in the VA Adoption Law that will require any organization placing children for adoption do so without consideration of the sexual orientation of those who are adopting. Children should have the right to be adopted into a family with a mother and a father. To do otherwise would not be in the child's best interests.  The state is to oversee the care of its citizens and to deny an orphan or other needy child the safety and security of an adoptive family (traditional view of family is meant) would be monstrous. What could be the purpose of such legislation?  It seems clear that themodification of the law would force faith-based adoption agencies to go out of business because of over-regulation, to force them out of the picture.  The view is to eliminate religious and moral principles from public life. I am not alone in my opposition to such a change.   I urge you kill the bill. This type of change in not in anyone's best interest.
