| Purpose of the meeting This six-part workgroup will examine Medicaid expenditures and utilization trends for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services and identify strategies to control costs while still preserving access to care for those in need of the therapy. Agenda items include: • Standard assessments; • Diagnostic criteria and provisional diagnoses; • Review of research on the efficacy of ABA, moderators of efficacy including age, dose, setting, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) level and other indicators of functioning; • Assessments with clinical and utilization management utility for ABA | |
