Purpose of the meeting
At this meeting, the Board of Coal Mining Examiners will review and act upon the status of certifications of those miners referred to the Board in accordance with Coal Mine Safety Act Section 45.1-161.35.G. The meeting is open to the public; however, a portion of the Board’s business may be discussed in Closed Session in accordance with FOIA. No public comment has been requested; however, the Board will receive comments from interested parties related to the work of the Board at the end of the meeting. Due to time constraints, public comments may be limited. Location is accessible to the handicapped. Special accommodations for the disabled will be made available at the public meeting or hearing on request. Anyone needing special accommodations should contact the Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy at least seven days prior to the meeting or hearing date.
