Purpose of the meeting
The Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy, Division of Mined Land Reclamation, will hold an informal conference to receive comments regarding the proposed permit application 1007665 for Appalachian Development & Construction LLC. The proposed permit area is located AT THE VA/KY LINE ON CANEY FORK & BUCKEYE BRANCH IN BUCHANAN COUNTY, ON THE U.S.G.S. ELKHORN CITY and HARMAN QUADRANGLES, NORTHING 10395647.2853, EASTING 10395647.2853, NEAR THE BIG ROCK COMMUNITY AND ROUTES 610 & 460. This informal conference is scheduled for February 13, 2013 at 10:30 AM. The conference will be a fact-finding proceeding and will be held at the Richland’s Town Hall. Any person having an interest, which is or may be adversely affected by the decision on the application, may present oral or written comments during this conference. Comments should be specific as to how the proposed operation may adversely affect the person.
