| Purpose of the meeting Fifth meeting of the Regulatory Advisory Panel established to assist the Department in the development of a permit by rule for small renewable wind energy projects. The permit by rule is being developed in response to legislation passed by the 2009 General Assembly (HB 2175/SB 1347). A Notice of Intended Regulatory Action was published on August 31, 2009. The notice of the establishment of the Panel appeared in the Virginia Register on June 8, 2009. As part of this meeting, the RAP may, if needed, break up into subcommittee meetings (living resources, land use, general, and, possibly off-shore) to discuss specific issues regarding small wind energy projects permits by rule. | |
