Purpose of the meeting
Meeting of the Living Resources Subcommittee for the Regulatory Advisory Panel, which was established to assist the Department in the development of a permit by rule for small renewable wind energy projects. This permit by rule is being developed in response to legislation passed by the 2009 General Assembly (HB 2175/SB 1347). A Notice of Intended Regulatory Action was published on August 31, 2009. The notice of the establishment of the Panel appeared in the Virginia Register on June 8, 2009.
