| Purpose of the meeting A public meeting to receive comments on a water quality study for the Elizabeth River mainstem, branches and several tributaries. The purpose of the study will be to identify sources of bacteria in the watershed and to determine the reductions in bacteria loadings needed to allow various streams in the watershed to meet water quality goals. The impairments include the Mainstem, Eastern Branch, Southern Branch, Western Branch, Lafayette River, Broad Creek, Indian River, and Paradise Creek. he public comment period on materials presented at this meeting will extend from August 26, 2009 to September 24, 2009. | |
