Purpose of the meeting
The Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired (DBVI) and the Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services (DRS) invite your attendance at a Public Forum to receive comment on the DRS and DBVI Vocational Rehabilitation and Supported Employment Programs. Each year, DBVI and DRS (and all other states) prepare a State Plan that describes how Virginia provides rehabilitation services. The comments received during the public forum will be utilized in the development of the 2010 State Plans. This Public Forum is being held in conjunction with the 2009 Transition Forum. The State Plan is updated annually and must be submitted to the federal government by July 1 of each year. However, public input to the Department’s planning efforts is welcomed at any time. Parking Garage is across the street from the Marriott at 232 East Main Street, Norfolk, VA Fee is $1.50 for one - two hours Free Parking at the MacArthur Mall The HRT 310 Bus (Hampton Roads Transit) runs every 10 minutes and picks up near the Dillards Store (Look for a Yellow HRT 310 sign) The NET (Norfolk Electric Transit) runs every six - seven minutes and rides through the Mall area (Look for a Blue NET sign)
