||Virginia Weatherization Assistance Program Operations Manual
||The Weatherization Assistance Program provides funds to install measures that reduce residential heating and cooling costs for low-income families and enhance the health and safety of residents. The program provides repairs and improvements to home heating and cooling systems and provides for the installation of energy-saving measures in the house, such as insulation and air sealing. The goal of the program is to increase the energy efficiency of housing occupied by low-income persons and reduce their total residential energy expenditures. This program does not offer assistance with paying utility bills.
