Title Handbook for Occupational & Physical Therapy Services in the Public Schools of Virginia

Summary The purpose of this handbook is to guide the provision of school-based therapy services in order to support the educational goals of students with disabilities. This revision of the Handbook for Occupational and Physical Therapy Services in the Public Schools of Virginia is a resource document to provide information about occupational therapy (OT) and physical therapy (PT) services in Virginia’s public schools. As a source of information and suggestions for implementing these services, the handbook is not regulatory. Its intent is to supplement, not to replace, Regulations Governing Special Education Programs for Children with Disabilities in Virginia and local school board policy.
