Strongly Oppose the NCLEP!

The NCLEP plan is punititve and exclusionary based on a system (CACREP) that was not an issue for therapists who obtained their licensure 15+ years ago. As a military spouse practicing mental health for over 20 years, my livelihood is threatened by not allowing me to transfer my license to any we may receive orders to report. I have met all licensure requirements in my state, have a license in good standing, and should be allowed to continue using my skills as a therapist to support client's in whatever state we relocate to. Virginia is one of our options for orders and the thought of having to postpone or give up my career because my degree program was not CACREP accredited at the time of my graduation in 1995, is punitive.

I oppose any plan that would preclude capable and passionate mental health professionals from using their gifts regardless of the state of residence/licensure.
