I am a registered holder of a concealed handgun permit and I decided to receive it because of safety and personal reasons. I am just as vulnerable, if not more so, in state forests where I walk as out in public. Perhaps more so as there are less ways to even receive help, let alone depending on someone else to help me (Police, lawabiding citizens, rangers etc). It is refreshing to be able to walk alone and "get away from it all" with out having to worry about receiving assistance from law breakers amongst other items.
