i strongly oppose this amendment.  I have been an LVT for more than 36 years and have seen the profession grow  a lot and medicine improve the animals longevity.  I have been a mentor for enrolled students and have helped train them through online courses.  Although I truly believe attending a school give you a better education, those that I have helped went on to pass the vtne and become licensed.  It is up to the techs and veterinarians to see and encourage those with interest and capability to go to school.  I guess I missed the amendment that allows assistants to draw blood, but I definitely would and do oppose that as well.   I was told by a veterinarian once that he could train a monkey to do what I do,  I left that practice , and so did others and clients.  Please quit trying to devalue LVTs and encourage them instead.
