A licensed veterinary technician has learn strict rules of asepsis, placing sterile catheters to avoid infection, taping in a catheter well, and more. This is a skill that should be learned in an educational program to keep all of our animals safe. I feel that on the job training is not sufficient for an item that may be laying in an animals veins for a couple days. Protect and value the skills of your licensed techs.
