DVM's time will not be freed up as they argue

All the DVM's that support this motion argue that it will free their time but how is that true if it requires "DIRECT SUPERVISION" which means they have to be right there. Therefore they can just place the IVC themselves. The argument is also for a shortage of LVT's yet why would people be encouraged to get a license if you let them do what an LVT does without the knowledge of the harm that they can cause? DVM's are also say this is ok with standardized training..... which is in place its called an LVT!!!!!!!!! Why are we cheapening this industry? What do you think will happen when you allow this? It means that clinics won't hire LVT's cause it will be cheaper not to furthering the shortage as no one will want to go to school as no one will want to hire them. IVC are also NOT the same as a blood draw, shows the DVM's are not considering some of the major complications with poor placement and sterilization. This is what school is for, to educate not only the how to but the problems that you can cause the harm you can do to the pets your  trying to help
