Dear VA - I support this petition, because I believe it is a fundamental right of the individual to have the means necessary to defend himself.  I am 65 years of age and am too old to be wrestling with young thugs.  I wish to be able to defend myself and my wife.  I have a concealed handgun permit and would appreciate the ability to legally carry a handgun in a park, where police protection may not be nearby.
