Yes to Concealed/Open Carry in State Parks

As a law abiding gun owner, veteran, and Virginia resident, I urge you to allow lawfully armed citizens to carry firearms concealed or openly as currently defined by state law.  Law abiding gun owners have gone though rigorous background checks and training to secure their right to carry a firearm for their protection as guaranteed by the constitution. Criminals ignore the law and will carry weapons no matter what rules or restrictions are enacted.  Preventing lawful citizens from being able to protect themselves and their families from any potential criminal element in state parks is wrong.  I don't think I will ever be in a position to need it, but we all must be prepared and remain vigilant.  It is better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.  Please support thousands of Virginia gun owners and allow us to lawfully carry in state parks.

Thank you.
