Virginia residents who have obtained concealed carry permits as well as citizens from states with whom their concealed carry permit is recognized should be allowed to carry firearms in all Parks located within the Commonwealth.

CCW holders are the last persons park attendees and Peace Officers need be concerned with regard to breaking laws.  Criminals who would prey upon park attendees can choose to be armed within the park regardless of any law that might be on the books.

More crimes are thwarted by armed citizens than Peace Officers.  Those that choose not to carry a firearm into a Virginia Park, will be safer from crime by the presence of others who are legally carrying a firearm.
