The idea of the rule of law is to provide society with acceptable actions and punish those who would do harm to the innocent, not to restrict the law abiding citizen from protecting themselves from those who would do harm.  

Why does the State not trust its citizens in the forests as it does in the rest of the state?

 The law abiding citizen and more especially the concealed carry permit hold has no such intent and should not be restricted in their ability to protect themselves and family while  traveling to and from a forest or any other location in the Commonwealth.

To those who would make the claims that our parks would turn into the Wild West, one only has to look to the hundreds of thousands of citizens already bearing arms across the country to know the answer to that ridicules claim.   

The carry of a defensive weapon is an accepted action within society and under the rule of law and it should also be within the parks and forests of the Commonwealth.
