I strongly support the right to carry firearms for personal defense in our State Forests.  The right to self-defense is our most basic right, and there are already thousands of law-abiding citizens in VA who carry handguns on a daily basis, without incident.  Enacting this petition will ensure that we may enjoy our State Forests responsibly AND safely.
