Lawful carry of firearms in State Forests should be allowed.  I would not restrict it specifically to just concealed carry permit holders but instead permit carrying in state forests the same as the majority of other public areas of Virginia.  As of today this includes both concealed with a permit and open without.  The comments by those who think that a policy or law prevents criminals from carrying a gun are kidding themselves.  There are already laws preventing criminals from harming those same individuals.  Why do people understand that criminals break laws, but falsely believe that gun policies specifically are always obeyed?  Personally, if a law abiding citizen has a firearm I'd rather they kept it on their person than to leave it unattended in a vehicle where a criminal may steal it and use it.
