It seems ludicrous to me that the Commonwealth of Virginia, or any of its subdivisions, would consider prohibiting LAWFUL carry of handguns.

With all the research showing that lawful firearms are used almost exclusively in defensive situations, and that law-abiding citizens commit crimes at an even lower rate than police officers, it seems prudent to permit law-abiding citizens to carry in state parks.
