Allow CCW Permit holders to carry in Parks.

I have been tromping in and about the woods since I was six years old.  I used to live in the backwoods up in the mountains. I remember going out with my uncles and cousins and NEVER did we go out unarmed, not because we were planning on criminal activity, but because you never knew what the day might bring.  That was forty years ago, when the just about the only thing we really worried about was wilderness creatures.

But now times have changed, there are other threats in our woods and parks, marijuana growers protecting their illegal crops.  You can bet your bottom dollar they are armed.  In addition to these wonderful people there are more people who just don't give a rat's ass about other's personal safety or property.  There are more criminals moving out looking for targets of opportunity into parks and recreational areas as well.  The parks offer wide open spaces, easy-in, easy-out access with almost no chance of apprehension and right no, ZERO chance of encountering resistance.  I know, my son WAS one of these IDIOTS, he is serving time for such things right now, so I have a little insight into how the criminal brain, at least his, tries to rationalize things.

People with CCW permits have been vetted thoroughly by state agencies and are the most law abiding people in the community, they KNOW what is at stake if they screw up.  They will lose the privilege of being able to acquire/maintain their CCW permit.  They can't even so much as be convicted of a serious domestic squabble!  This puts them within a class of their own.

Please keep this in mind when you make the decision to allow CCW permit holders to carry concealed in parks.
