I support the need for regulatory action on the issue of high school course curriculum. No matter how intelligent our young people are, not all of them are prepared to deal with graphic subject matter. Whether it's in American history, world history, or literature classes, some topics are too upsetting for minors. Parents need to know ahead of time what their student is being asked to read and study so they can either talk it through with them, or opt out. We just need a reasonable ratings system like we have at the movie theaters or in movie reviews.
