Thank you for taking the time to read my comments. I am extremely concerned over the very unnecssary change in regulations for women's health clinics.
I do not understand why NOW that our Governor wants to set new regulations regarding the ceiling heights and widths of walls at abortion clinics in the interests of women's health. My question is, has something horrible happened at a Va. clinic that warrants these changes??? To my knowledge there have been none. And if indeed something had ocurred that endangered a life,, why should all clinics suffer for this??
This is so insulting to women to tell us that this is being done in the interests of women's health, when clearly height and width specifications do not change the quality of health care. What these specifications will cause, of course, is the closing of health care facilities that will indeed affect the quality of health care for thousands of women. It will mean that many won't have it at all!! Blocking access for birth control pills will only bring on more unwanted pregnancies. If people want to prevent abortions, then at least keeps these clincs open which provide birth control to ensure there won't be any. Thank you!!
