Citizenship status should not determine if your income is countable. We should be counting the income. It is difficult to explain reporting requirements to an ineligible prorated immigrant; however, explaining to a citizen,that even though they have the same family composition and income they are not eligible, poses a challenge as well. As a Benefit Program Specialist this change would aid in serving the public more effectively. As a citizen this change would just make sense.
