Mandate Title:
Barrier crimes; conviction or finding not guilty by reason of insanity
Purpose of legislation
Adds conviction or a finding that a person is not guilty by reason of insanity of any offense that results in the offender's requirement to register with the Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry to the list of crimes that constitute a barrier to licensure as a child welfare agency or assisted living facility, approval as a foster or adoptive parent by a child-placing agency, approval as a family day home by a family day system, or employment or serving as a volunteer at a children's residential facility, assisted living facility, adult day care center, or child welfare agency.
