All students deserve to the right to identify and express themselves as they feel, and for that identity to be respected.
Trans and non-binary kids deserve love and respect, and people who think that allowing them to be supported means threatening the safety of cisgender students is completely off base and factually incorrect. Trans and non-binary students are not the ones putting others' safety at risk- THEY are the ones who are overwhelingly targeted and at increased risk for violence victimization, substance abuse, suicide risk, and sexual risk than their cisgender classmates because of the stigma and transphobic culture of our society.
Allow students to be equally accepted and embraced and feel safe at your school.
