Our trans children deserve to be educated in a safe environment without the possibility of harassment for being transgender or non binary. We need to keep our trans or nonbinary children safe by carefully listening to their concerns and addressing them in an appropriate manner. Trans* any nonbinary children are more likely to be ostracized by students and teachers, if we can't ensure they have a safe environment to learn in, we are valuing the lives of cisgender children over our trans* and nonbinary children during one of their most vulnerable times in their life. Instead, we should empower our trans* and nonbinary children so they are ready to take on the world outside of school. Trans* children and nonbinary children are our children, and we need to protect all of our children.
