Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

Strongly Condemn!

I strongly condemn Fairfax County School Districts plans to IN ANY WAY help to facilitate a child's gender transition activities without the full knowledge and consent of the parents. It is a parents right, duty, and legal obligation to provide for their children as they see fit. Any issues arising between the child and the parents should be worked out with the family and whomever the family wants involved.

Also, regarding a child's desire to change their gender identity as they see fit. Are we as a society willing to give that choice to a child that is not mature enough to make decisions that will permanently affect the rest of their lives? That is like giving a CHILD a stick of dynamite and a lighted match and telling them its a candle! They are emotionally incapable of understanding the gravity or consequences of the situation and will never be able to undo the results.

Get a grip folks ... act like responsible adults and not like bobble-heads to the left's agenda!
