Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

Absolutely absurd

School systems are promoting transgenderism causing confusion in children who have limited understanding of their sexuality - this is child abuse. Then you violate parental rights to oversee the development of their children which is a God given right. Then you violate the  privacy rights of children by forcing biological males into biological girl's bathroom's and shower rooms and vice versa. I am/was very modest and this would traumatize me and I have heard from parent's dealing with this situation and it has traumatized their children as well. And it is also an unsafe policy. Then you are violating the conscience of teachers/staff, etc. where this goes against their beliefs. And then you are ruining female sports as females are trying to compete with biological boys in the name of transgenderism.

I feel sorry for people who are confused and choose to be transgender. I have read how they end up having health issues from the chemicals and end up being unhappy because the radical changes done to their body did not solve the problem they were trying to address. Many die early from health issues or suicide.  Very sad.

I would gladly respect transgenders in my presence and show them love. But these policies hurt the overall school body. Quit trying to indoctrinate children to explore their gender. In my school days, we didn't have indoctrination and we didn't have this issue. It is wrong.
