Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

Strongly Against Transgender Teaching

Addressing transgender identities is ludicrous. No “child” has any TRUE notion if they should change their sex. In the 1970’s, I worked at Hopkins as an RN; patients needed to be 21 years of age & have a minimum of 1 year psychotherapy before any sex change. The program was a failure due to severe psychological trauma to the individual. Now we are at it again with no age designation or psychotherapy. You can ask anyone if they want to be called male or female, but they are a boy or girl at birth. Why would the schools decrease the amount of American history taught in school, but force this insanity to be addressed. Those that say, Good Idea, have No Idea! But the schools will follow demented NANCY PELOSI’s lead & prohibit correct & rational pronouns. Go right ahead, the school board will proclaim to all how insane they are. WOKE?  I think not. INSANE? Yes. I am too disgusted with anything in the government, including the public schools, to respect what they think, believe or ram down our throats. P.S. I am a female.
