I am outraged and strongly object to the Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools being considered. It is destructive and divisive. It creates an aura of secrecy and mistrust among our teachers, students, and their families. It violates the rights of parents and undermines the authority of teachers and school officials. It encourages adolescents to "make a decision" about something that is already decided by their DNA thus causing more harm and confusion for students that are already struggling in the uncertainty of our current times. I cannot imagine what could possibly cause our government to consider imposing such harmful policies on our citizens. PLEASE DO NOT APPROVE THESE UNFAIR POLICIES!
