Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

How about teachers stick to teaching and STOP worrying about what’s in students pants, between their legs or their sexual preferences!!! It’s no ones business. Class rooms are for teaching our children math, English, history... it is NOT to be used as a platform to express ones sexuality. Teachers have enough to deal with, you shouldn’t add this ludicrous policy to their plates too!! Exactly when are they suppose  to actually find the time to  teach! I hope you realize there are now hundreds of thousands  of kids that identify with different animal species (I’m not kidding look it up, Apparently all teenagers know about this) So my question is.., where does it end???  My children are told to keep their Christian views to themselves, they weren’t even allowed to label an art picture a “Christmas tree” because it might offend someone. Well I’M offended now! So where are MY rights?  You can no longer refer to the holiday this country has always celebrated ( the birth of Christ) as  Christmas break!!  ... Freedom of  religion is what this country was founded on .... not the ever changing trends of the transgenders!! If you allow this there will be no limits to the depth we will sink. Once again the SCHOOLS are not the time or place to debate whether your son or daughter feels like a girl or boy!  If this passes... I’ll be home schooling!
