OPPOSE Eliminating ALL exemptions to Licensure

This sweeping proposed change in which ALL exemptions for licensure is eliminated would have a resounding impact on small business owners and programs for children. It would also impact many families who depend on these services. My business model is dependent on the exemption for licensure which allows child minding services for up to three hours while providing a service for parents. My program allows parents to work in our adjacent space while we care for their children. It's a much needed service for families. BUT it's not just my business that would be impacted!! By making this change, it would prohibit religious child minding programs like Sunday schools or programs like Bar Mitzveh classes or vacation bible schools without going through traditional licensure. By making this change, it would prohibit many after school programs like martial arts establishments from operating without going through traditional licensure. By making this change, it would not allow parents to bring their preschool aged kids to a dance or music or STEM class and leave them in the care of the providers without going though traditional licensure. The impact is sweeping and totally disheartening! Please do not support this amended change.

By making this change, it would not allow you to leave your kids in the child care at the gym and work out without the program going though traditional licensure.
