Proposed Regulations

I am a parent of a three year old and one year old who has received excellent care at Springfield Academy. I am also a public school teacher. I find that many of the proposed changes put an unnecessary amount of pressure on the classroom teaches. My children have always been treated with care and concern. Every teacher my children have had treated them as if they were their own child. I have always found that the group sizing to be perfect and the teacher to child ratio just right. By limiting the group size it will greatly reduce capacity and availability to quality infant/toddler care. It is difficult for many centers to conform to this new regulation and would have to reduce the number of children in each classroom. This will greatly affect the quality of care the my children will receive.l as well as the availablity of such quality childcare.  Additionally, the requirement that all staff to be certified in CPR within 30 days is above and beyond what is even required of public school teachers. I find it an amazing burden to place on employees to stay within those constants. A 90 day grace period would be a more manageable regulation.
