Do-nothing, Unnecessary Legislation

This legislation will do NOTHING to prevent violence; however, this administration would have you believe that it will have some magical impact on crime and safety.  The reality is that it has never been a problem in the time before this governor, nor will it be a problem after he leaves.  Rights lost are seldom restored by the government.  As a state employee this legislation endangers lives by turning state buildings into gun-free zones where deranged criminals prefer to carry out their evil.  It allows them to act completely unopposed.  Even the thought that someone on site *might* have a gun is more than enough to act as some kind of deterrent.

End this farcical policy.
