This ban runs counter to everything our Constitution stands for. Arbitrarily crafting "rights free zones" does not make anyone safe. These are public spaces, for which the state cannot provide anything resembling real security. 

Instead of hollow gestures which reduce public safety, please enact policies which actually enhance it, like putting the people getting guns into the hands of felons into jail, and putting criminals discovered illegally in possession of firearms away for years.
