As a retired law enforcement officer I have to say this proposed ban on firearms in state offices is a terrible idea. Not only does it leave law abiding citizens vunerable, it puts state employees at a greater risk!  Why? Criminal do not fear the police - I should know; I worked the streets for 25 years. What the criminal does fear is the armed citizen. Of course if the the Governor is worried about criminals being injured and killed, then it's evedent why he desperately wants this ban in place..
