I am in FAVOR of LAWFUL carry in state agency buildings

First, the is a solution in search of a problem.  I can't remember the last time this happened in a Virginia agency building.  Even if it has, what was the root cause?  Domestic violence?  Mental illness?  Employment action?

Second, by making it illegal for legal citizens to legally carry, how will that stop illegal acts by then criminals?  Will this action have prevented Willis Walker of Culpepper from his violent rampage in June if his wife worked at an agency?  NO

Would a person suffering from mental illness be able to rationally stop their illegal actions because YOU made the legal, illegal?  NO

Would someone who may be unstable and is set off by an employment action stop at the door because there is a sign banning guns?  NO

Third, why is it that Mass Shootings as defined by the FBI - 4 or more people (not counting shooter) are KILLED, doesn't involve another crime such as drug trafficing, and the victums are not family - happen at places that ban law weapons?

Fourth, why do you want to put state workers who work for you in danger?  Why do you have a security detail that Common Sense American's can't afford?  Why will your detail be allowed to carry in buildings when lawful citizens can't?

Fifth, How much will security and metal detectors cost to enforce the regulation?

Sixth, why is it that you can't reach across the isle and work with the other side to study safety, needs, and develop a solution?  Why is it that you need to attempt to go around the lawful avenues of the state contitution to impose your ideology onto others?

All these items point to a safer society that is lawfully armed.  However, you want that to change.

Cheers,

Brian
