This ban on legally carried firearms in state agencies is a solution in search of a problem.  It is a political action taken for political ends, not a safety action.  It is hypocrisy.  It is also foolish, since it will do nothing to prevent illegal carry of firearms by criminals in state agencies, since it is not accompanied by serious security measures.
