I STRONGLY OPPOSE Gov. McAuliffe's State Agency Gun Ban

I STRONGLY OPPOSE Gov. McAuliffe's State Agency Gun Ban because it is clearly not needed. There have been no shootings in State Agency Buildings. However, if one WERE to happen, employees and visitors who are trained CCW Permit Holders would stand a better chance of protecting themselves and others. It is a proven fact that virtually all mass shootings happen in gun-free zones. The State Agency Gun Ban will create yet another gun-free zone AND potential target. However, crazed and/or criminal shooters are statistically less apt to pick any State building where it is known that employees & visitors are likely armed and trained to shoot in defense. Also a proven fact is that CCW permit holders are the MOST law-abiding segment of the nation's population -- even more than LEO's!

Very Respectfully,

Bill Krumpter
