I am a born and bred Virginian. I am not a gun slinging idiot out to make a point that I am able to carry a gun wherever I want to.  I simply believe that our Constitution guarantees that we have the right to defend ourselves against ANYONE who would pose a threat to our life, including acts of tyranny.  I live in a rural area where it may be necessary to carry a gun for protection against wildlife in the area. A bear, for instance, who decides to charge me or me and my grandchildren while picking berries. Not all people who carry guns are criminals and I refuse to stand by and listen to all the negative comments about carrying a gun go unchallenged. GUNS are not the problem....just as automobiles are not the problem when someone dies either in an auto accident or is hit by an automobile. America was built by pioneeers who used guns to shoot game for food and many still do depend on guns to supply food for their tables. Stop stereo-typing gun owners as threats and instead look at both sides of this issue.  There are literally millions of legitimate hunters in the USA, they don't care about the NRA...they care about food on the table.  Its time to think about what gun control is really about.  Weakening our nation, that's it.  A nation that is defenseless is prime to be over-run. Unless you're ready to surrender the USA, guns are a needed tool and should be owned by EVERYONE...and everyone should know how to use them, anytime and anywhere their life is threatened.  "I carry a gun BECAUSE, I CAN'T CARRY A COP"' OR HIRE A SECURITY TEAM LIKE ALL THOSE WHO ARE TRYING TO PUSH THIS LEGISLATION.
