Governor's executive order banning guns from state buildings.

I fully support banning guns in buildings owned or leased by the state, and hope this policy remains in place.  The presence of guns in the hands of citizens can be intimidating and thus inhibit state proceedings, and there are obviously deranged and violent people with greviances against the state who would wreak havoc if given the chance.  What we need are civilized public spaces, not the Wild West. I reject the argument that we'll all be safer if we all carry guns everywhere.  That way likes madness.  Nearly every survey of Americans' attitudes toward guns show that Americans favor sensible forms of gun control that do no violate right of ownership, and the Governor's restriction on guns in state buildings certainly falls into that category.
