I am writing in support of making Executive Order 50 a permanent law in the state of Virginia.  While I recognize the right bestowed on individuals by the state  of Virginia to carry firearms, our citizens also have the right to safety when gathering in government spaces.  Because those who wish to kill and harm as many people as possible often choose places where people congregate to perpetrate their crimes, I believe that government meeting spaces need to be free from firearms or other weapons.
