I oppose any infringement on our Second Amendment rights

The "emergency" that Gov. McAuliffe's ban on firearms in state office buildings simply does not exist.  There have been no shootings in Virginia state buildings.  The regulation is purely a political ploy timed to pressure the General Assembly to pass legislation the Governor wanted.

Prohibiting concealed handgun permit holders from possessing firearms in state offices is even more ridiculous.  These individuals have passed strict background checks and are among the most law abiding citizens.

This regulation is unenforceable as a practical matter.  Someone with criminal intent will ignore the "No Guns" signs and bring weapons into the building anyway.  Keeping out the good guys with guns will only make state offices less safe.
