I support the Board of Education's amendment to the regulation.

Our local school system may need a regulatory requirement from the State of Virginia  to facilitate transparency in what the teachers are assigning our children to read.  What motivates a school system to resist notifying parents that books with overt/graphic sexual content, sexual violence, violence, and other sensitive material are being assigned?   Perhaps it is just the absence of a requirement to do so.  Please amend the regulation so that teachers  will have the motivation and regulatory basis upon which to notifiy parents who can then determine if the child should be given an alternative book to read and discuss.   We did experience this particular issue in our family.   Thank you for reading my comments.
